Westwind Dental, a contemporary dental clinic in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada, wanted to create a practice that was comfortable for both patients and staff, yet still maintained an ease of everyday function.

It was important to the vision of the clinic to incorporate sensory comforts such as heated concrete floors, four fireplaces, custom plaster wall features, quartz countertops, and more, into the layout to create a clinic that would be durable for the day to day wear of a commercial space.

Jennifer Buchanan Interior Design was hired to execute and enhance the clinic’s space.* The agency chose to incorporate live edge wood slabs along the reception desk to balance the stone and plaster within the area, thereby enhancing the warmth of the natural wood.

Lumetta Lighting was specified by WOW Lighting and Controls Inc. to illuminate the space with their 42” Shadow Drum Pendants, beautifully complementing the temperature and the juxtaposition of the cold stone and warm wood elements.
