We are seeking a Project Quotations Specialist to maintain, grow and support our current team. As a Project Quotations Specialist, you enjoy a team environment, working towards a common goal of excellence in service to the electrical distributor and electrical contractor customers of Alberta.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Project Quotations Specialist, you are responsible for creating accurate project quotations, interpreting client bill of materials, and negotiating directly with both contractors and distributors.

• Prepare itemized cost of goods for lighting and lighting control projects
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and client bill of materials
• Prepare accurate proposals and ensure submission within provided timelines
• Coordinate with the project quotes team to self-delegate and prioritize workloads
• Manage the quoted project to ensure all supporting documentation is received
• Aggressively negotiate with clients to profitably secure proposals
• Self-educate on competitors’ strengths and weaknesses – identify opportunities from this and capitalize on sales
• Clearly communicate within the sales team to coordinate and execute project strategy
• Build and maintain strong working relationships within the project quotes team, clients, and manufacturers
• Demonstrate initiative to capitalize on education opportunities in lighting technologies and new products offered from partner manufacturers

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Experience with Adobe PDF
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word

Considered an Asset:

• Knowledge of the lighting and/or electrical industry
• Ability to read engineer drawings and technical sheets
• Previous project quotations experience, 1-3 years (preferred)
• Previous project management experience, 1-3 years (preferred)
